Associations

HAEYC
Hawai'i Association for the Education of Young Children (HAEYC) is a non-profit, voluntary membership organization composed of teachers, family childcare providers, caregivers, directors, advocates and those committed to quality early childhood programs for children birth to eight.

Annually, HAEYC in collaboration with other early childhood organizations and state government offers an early childhood state confrence drawing over 1,500 participants. A Quarterly newsletter is published and available to members. HAEYC strongly advocates for improved education, health, and family support policies and programs for young children and their families at the local, state, and national government level and secures financial support from membership and local philanthropy.

Through national connection of NAEYC, members have access to professional journal Young Children, professional publications, and information on conferences and resources across the nation. NAEYC also houses the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, which offers an accreditation process for early childhood programs. Visit the HAEYC website at www.hawaiiaeyc.org

NAEYC

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is the nation's largest and most influential organization of early childhood educators and others dedicated to improving the quality of programs for children from birth through third grade.

Founded in 1926, NAEYC celebrated its 75th anniversary with over 100,000 members and a national network of nearly 450 local, state, and regional Affiliates. NAEYC Affiliate Groups work to improve professional practice and working conditions in early childhood education and to build public support for high quality early childhood programs. NAFCC

The focus of the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) is to provide technical assistance to family child care associations. This assistance is provided through developing leadership and professionalism, addressing issues of diversity, and by promoting quality and professionalism through NAFCC's Family Child Care Accreditation.

NAFCC represents the profession of family child care at the national level as an advocate on issues of public policy. We keep our membership informed and up-to-date through "The National Perspective", our quarterly published newsletter. NAFCC also sponsors an annual National Family Child Care Conference.
