PATCH promotes a wide variety of child care options by supporting
existing child care programs and helping launch new ones. We provide
information on licensing, health and safety, curriculum, record
keeping and more.
PATCH offers free child care program referrals to Hawaii's families,
as well as many free or low cost child care training classes.
Below are the many ways PATCH supports Hawaii's child care professionals
and programs across the state.
- Seeking referrals to your program? If you have openings, please
call us 839-1988 and we will refer interested parents free of charge.
- Need help running a child care program? Talk to our staff or
check out our online resources for practical information on insurance, curriculum,
training, sample provider forms, and more.
- Thinking about a career in child care? We
offer assistance in starting new programs, such as how to get
licensed and child care training classes. We also offer guidance
and information on how to get a child development associate
(CDA) credentials. PATCH also offers scholarships as well as
grants for program improvement and/or professional development.
- Looking for classes? See calendar for workshops and training
classes. We support statewide standards of Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge (ASK)
and CDA subject areas. Some classes will soon be offered for continuing education
units (CEU).
