PATCH Big Island Child Care Assistance Grant

Applications and proposals accepted September 1, 2020 through December 15, 2020

PATCH (People Attentive to Children) is offering the opportunity to all licensed and registered child care facilities and homes and Prospective providers to apply for and propose child care services during the COVID-19 emergency period.

What is it for?

The PATCH Big Island Child Care Assistance Grant provides reimbursement for purchases made between March 1, 2020 – Aug 30, 2020 or grants for future purchases that will be made before December 15, 2020.

Who Can Apply?

    • DHS licensed Child Care Center;
    • DHS registered child care home;
    • In the process of becoming licensed (working with PATCH & DHS staff)

What Can I Use the Grant for?

  • COVID-19 expenses; which include health & safety supplies and equipment
  • Expansion of facility size to adhere to smaller group sizes

Eligibility Criteria?

  • Child Care Center/Home must be on the Big Island
  • Business must be in good standing with DHS (child care cannot be under investigation or suspended by DHS)

How to Apply?

Eligible child care providers can complete the application for the PATCH Big Island Child Care Assistance at patchhawaii.org or call their local office to receive a copy.
