Mahalo, Hawaii Visitor Industry Charity Walk – Oahu Chapter! PATCH receives $5,000 for Homeless Outreach

9/14/2018 Honolulu, Oahu. THANK YOU walkers! The 40th Annual Hawaii Visitor Industry Charity Walk on Oahu has generated $5,000 to support PATCH’s Homeless Outreach Program on Oahu. The program helps connect homeless and at-risk children age zero to five with services to meet their health, nutrition, care, and education needs.

The Charity Walk, sponsored by the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association, extends its charitable reach to all Hawaii non-profit charities. Charity Walk operates throughout the Hawaiian Islands, and is the largest single day fundraiser event in the state. The annual walk event is held in May. This year’s Oahu walk had an estimated 7,000 walkers and volunteers. Since it’s inception in 1978, the Charity Walk has raised more than $28 million. Participants this year raised $2.5 million.

PATCH attended the 2018 Charity Walk Allocations at Eating House 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi to accept this generous donation. For pictures and more information, visit  HLTA’s facebook page and charitywalkhawaii.org.
