PATCH was featured in The Garden Isle newspaper “PATCHwork Approach” article,  May 2, 2018, by John Steinhorst. The article provides an overview of PATCH services which support Kauai’s families, children, and early child care practitioners.  Steinhorst interviewed Mary Lu Kelley, PATCH Kauai Coordinator, who says, “We have a severe shortage of child care providers on Kauai. PATCH, at no charge, can help them get trained and licensed to do this most important work of providing quality care for the keiki of Kauai. . .  Kauai is not alone with this issue, it is statewide and nationwide.”
