About Us

Our ECWR CQI program goal is to improve the Early Learning and Child Care professional skills, knowledge,
and practices in working with children and families by utilizing technical assistance (TA) and coaching
services provided by PATCH to build Maui County’s Early Learning and child care workforce that will impact
child care availability to support and aid in the rebuild and restoration of Hawai’i’s economic recovery.

Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)

PATCH offers a unique opportunity for high school juniors and seniors interested in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field, those new to the field, and or those who would like to increase their qualifications to earn their Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Earning a CDA® credential in high school jumpstarts successful careers and leverages faculty expertise. The CDA is the only portable, national, and multi-language credential of its kind, opening up career opportunities for thousands of graduates every year.
